If you’re looking to upgrade your digital signage software (or a first-timer looking for something to install), try tapping into BTX Technologies. The company says that they are now offering PADS4, the next-gen digital signage software from Net Display Systems (NDS).
PADS4 follows in the footsteps of the award-winning PADS Professional software. Some of the new features include restyled and enhanced applications, a more simple installation process, and more.
According to NDS, PADS4 has been restyled to the latest Microsoft Office type of user interface. Also, PADS Designer features a new content organizer system, while the PADS Scheduler app (formerly known as PADS Manager) comes packing a new calendar view. PADS Viewer also has a new, smoother performance, and eliminates the need for multiple signage solutions.
PADS4 also allows users to integrate real-time data from sources including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, content management systems, room reservation systems, queue management, and social media. Predefined configurations and an automatic server detection make the whole thing easy to set up. There’s also a new PADS “engine,” making it easy for a new SDK to develop custom solutions.
“The addition of new data sources is a key feature of PADS4,” said Louis van Geldrop, CEO of Net Display Systems. “By integrating with existing databases, content management systems, and more, the software saves network operators the time and expense of duplicating content for their digital signage system.”
PADS4 also allows users to easily incorporate interactivity into their signage system using touchscreens, RFID, barcodes, QR codes, and face recognition.
